On today's installment of "Idiot with a garden tractor...."
Got five inches of rain last night. One of the garages is built into a hill and fills with runoff. Tired of this (the garage is always damp and rust out stuff), I went to work to dig out around the garage for better drainage (I've tried those inner concrete moisture seals- worked only for a year or two.)
As usual, I was wary of the home's previous owner, who liked to bury electrical lines mere inches below the ground (my friend with a stump grinder found a "present" - a live wire 1 inch below grade once),
Knowing this- I went out and traced / dug out the 220/110 power line across my planned trench and marked it at WHOPPING 6 inches deep.
On my first pass, I discovered the OTHER 110 line which was buried under pine needles- about 1/2 inches deep! Son of a B@#$ got me again!!!
= HA!!!!!
Fool me twice- shame on me!
