The way this is going and the cash incentive offered to complete early, my prediction is that the repair will be completed and will open to traffic one week before Memorial Day. If this is true then I think the Construction Company deserves a ticker tape parade downtown!!!!! I commute every day with my wife downtown and we have to exit at the connector that funnels ever so slowly into one lane traffic. We go past the construction each day and the DOT was smart enough to erect a lengthy privacy curtain to keep the drivers from "rubber necking" to view the construction. Average backup for us is 45 minutes and we are at this spot by 0615 hrs!!!!! Thats how nuts it is. Taking the inner thoroughfares is a lot tougher and longer.
