We had a little front move through yesterday and it was nice and cool out this morning with low humidity too - so I spent most of the day trying to catch up on as much gardening tasks as possible. Including cleaning up these Purple Crinum Lillies. These originally were stock plants at one of the nurseries I do business with and one day the owner contacted me and said he was going to eliminate these from his assortment....asked if I was interested in buying them for a very reasonable price. So I did and set them on top of the ground and they just took root and have been here ever since, absent a few I used at projects.




I like to use a long serrated blade knife for slicing off the wide succulent leaves...






These are some of the fruit that I found in the leaf axles that were already germinating and sending out shoots and roots.....little babies....
