Mrs. Hugh R and I both sort of hate Mother's day and Father's day and trying to go out for brunch/dinner, given the stupid waiting times at restaurants.
She said instead, she'd really like some lobster like we had in Kennebunkport, Maine last summer, So I ordered two and had them overnight shipped. $125, yeah its a lot, but she is worth every penny. I figure I'll break even with going to an overpriced restaurant that doesn't take reservations on Mother's Day. I'll be doing them baked/stuffed with shallots, shrimp and scallops, and a little Italian parsley and some other seasonings. Some saffron rice, a nice salad, with avocado, and a nice bottle of wine.
I expect to get ****ed ! Plus taking her to a Billy Joel concert tomorrow night at Dodger's Stadium
