I great ratchet, preferrably with the toggle switch (as pictured) vs rotating switch is great. I also really found these to be extremely useful.
I had an old low profile aluminum racing jack back before they got cheap at Harbor Freight. That was also useful.
I loved having an air compressor, but I got more use out of it for home repairs/upgrades than I did working on the car.
A comfy low profile creeper is also nice.
