From the manager of the local post office, I learned that there is a new district honco who moved up from California who is big on "safety". Was he who ordered a crew to inspect rural boxes.
Still, to my way of thinking, if the county road department is going to remove and reset mailboxes as part of a road project, one with other specs, shouldn't they know of mailbox height requirements before beginning the project?
