If I were a rich Chinese guy, I'd rather buy my Canadian citizenship. Their passport is just slightly more accepted than ours and you can travel freely in the US and more easily hide your money from the tax collectors. A Chinese ex's filthy rich dad bought his Canadian citizenship, a house in Vancouver and then another in Plano, TX. His brother lives near the one in Plano and takes care of it. He bought his daughter a house in Falls Church, VA and has another in Irvine, CA. With his Canadian passport, he can come to the US as easily as we can go to Canada. With China's new multiple entry visa good for a year, he has to pay once and can go back and forth to China all he wants. Best of all, because he's not a US citizen, he can stash money in any bank in any country (except the US) and not be subject to IRS reporting on US citizens we impose on all banks around the world.
