We need an autopsy on the oil filter
It would be very interesting to know how the internal oil filtration system has coped with
all that metal being shifted around by the oil.
Is there enough room for a skinny magnet to be pushed in when the sump plate is out - to attract other loose bits. Or even get a finger in there to feel for metal sludge.
I have some spare round magnets I pulled out of an old microwave oven - I think I will go put one on my sump plate.
