My FIL has over 150k on his 5.4L equipped F150 with zero work. Except for the spark plug issues the modular V8s are pretty bulletproof.
As for collectible, probably not. Modern cars are produced in such great quantities there are very few that are rare. Muscle cars in the 1960s were an entire social movement, today they are just another car. I don't see them achieving the iconic status that you see out of the classics.
