Cheap transmission jack from HF in whatever weight rating needed. Not good for oil changes on most bikes because the drain plug would be blocked by the jack platform. Don't need to raise a bike to change oil anyways, though.

A proper MC bench/table is the best. I created a thread a while back about building one, asking questions, etc. Wound up building it myself w lumber and heavy plywood. Gave it to my friend after I finished job on my bike, (he was letting me use his shop), pretty sure it's his favorite work table and he has all of the expensive MC lifts and jacks.
