While we are on the topic of the center stand, if one were to install a lower fairing (belly pan) and want to keep the center stand, and assuming that the belly pan were cut however necessary to allow the center stand to function, could it still be possible to mount the belly pan to the center stand pivot points in some fashion? In any fashion? Say longer bolts and thick nylon washers?
That possible?

Keith,
Which belly pan do you have or would like to install? Mine, below, is a 3-pc carbon fiber assembly from BMW. It came standard on the R1100S "Prep" models but can be purchased as an acce$$ory.
As you can see, there are no clearance issues with this pan assembly.
The larger belly pan on the Boxer Cup models is another story. I'm sure a modification is possible to the pan (extensive and probably not attractive) but it is not designed to work with our stock center stand.
