it's really very easy to airbrush what your seeing .
you buy lace in a pattern you like . you then spray the back side with a very light coat of photo matting adhesive ( very light coat ) just to have it stick and stay in place . then you lay it over the area/s you are looking to have the graphics . then you do your airbrushing and shading with the lace laying there .
i have done things like this countless times ( only once with lace on a girls crash helmet ) but for doing a carbon fiber look it's very common way to do it .
at some point i will post some photos of the way it's done . when you see it you will be shocked just how easy it is to do .
what your showing are two different types of effects .
the small pitcher is not airbrushed the porsche is a airbrushing .
doing this to a dark color car is hard to do as the shading has to be darker the the pattern . so if you were to do it over a dark color car you have to do a reverse airbrushing .
i also have a big ass vinyl cutter and you could do it in reverse using vinyl and airbrush in the flowers lighter .
so i would scan the pattern then use the cutter and then do a reverse airbrushing for a dark colored car .
