I'm 42, 6'2", 240 lbs. and have a Model A. It's fun as hell to putt around in, but getting in and out SUCKS. And I'm only 42. My 74-year-old father can't even get in the car anymore.
Also, it's fun to putt around in but NOT to drive spiritedly. You're talking about a COMPLETELY different driving experience. Keep that in mind.
Honestly, if I was 20 years older with a HELOC, I'd sell the 911, pay off the loan, and buy a lightly used FRS/BRZ or some other lightweight 2-seater that won't be a maintenance problem.
