I had my car up on the lift and opened the garage door. Unfortunately I had the deck lid with tail up and the car was high enough that the automatic door hit the deck lid and stalled. When I put the garage door down I noticed that the hinge was now in contact with the body of the car. The driver side hinge is fine. The passenger one is touching and rubs when I tried to close it.
I removed the deck lid shocks and the situation remains the same. Since the hinge rotates about a substantial pin in a bracket connected to the body, I don't see how that point could have moved.
The question is what did I damage? The hinge?
How would you fix this?
