We got back and unloaded the computer equipment by 1:30. It is such a big computer and two monitors and the bad mama jama laptop that no way we could get it all there and two of us in the two seat cars we have. It was stupid to drive two cars so I borrowed the wife's Macan for the 74 mile round trip to the National Weather service building. I just did not want to load all that stuff in the back of the El Camino in the heat. No one booed us or threw eggs or nuttin so I guess it went well.
They seemed please and asked lots of questions. Of course we had some egg head college student tell us how he wants to get the data to map the entire campus and make a ultra high resolution 3D model of the campus to tie it to the entire body of surveys and that have of all the utilities and all the info on each building and he wants is accurate to sub centimeter measurements. Of course he figured we should just donate that for the common good or do it at cost. Heck cost alone would be millions and is beyond silly. He figures it should be so accurate they could calculate the slope of every street so the city would be ready to do street work with no new survey. Architects could design new buildings and changes to each building. We really hope he can sell the project to a billionaire supporter and we are ready to get started. Just show me the da money.
