Hello Jose:

I am no expert, but when I built my last 3.0L the pulley seal sat outside of the Number 8 bearing a small amount. I would say about 1/32 inch.
Now, the flywheel seal was put on before I sealed the case half together. In other words, before I put the left case half onto the right case half, the seal was already on the crankshaft.
The crankshaft flywheel seal sits inside almost 1/4 inch. So, I can say the seal is flush with the case but the crankshaft shows some steel protruding.
