Titleist, specifically, uses Surlyn, (DuPont product), on all golf balls with the exception of the ProV line. That cover material is a urethane.
But yes I'd drill a tiny hole to insert a screw and dangle it from a piece of fishing line or something.
I like the idea of trying to pop a golfball at long yardage.
