Anyone know where this P-51 is based? I remember as a kid/teenager this Mustang was based at El Monte, CA airport in the late '70s and early '80s. The owner let me sit in it which was very cool. It's distinctive because of the USAF paint scheme and unique one piece forward windscreen. I heard the owner at the time had to sell due to some tax liabilities.
Funny - I was wondering what happened to this plane just the other day...
Edit: Never mind, I did a little internet digging, the plane is now in TX with a different paint job.
