I don't know which ones I've watched at other people's houses and I don't have Island's tech knowledge but I can tell you that I'd be happy if they looked like real life. The ones I'm complaining about had a picture that looked sort of *digital* and just weird. Everything looked like it was in front of a blue screen. Like a bad faked moon landing.

I don't play video games or watch animation, more of a film/tv person. Now, it's possible that the new TVs you guys are talking about are much better than the ones I'm referring to. One of my buddies has a HD projector that is just out of this world. Super jealous of his picture. He has the wall painted w the special movie screen paint and the picture is huge and the best I've ever seen in a house. He only spent about $1200 for it too, if not mistaken.

I do know that the cutting edge of digital film photography is all about smoothing the edges, that's probably what the 240 fps is about. Making it look more like film.
