ps If all still works like it did in the past (and that's usually a safe bet at the Academy) and if your wife wants to see her daughter/Plebe be sworn in as much as mine did, it's a good idea to have someone in your party wait just in front of the rope at the entrance to Tecumseh Court - in 2012 that was approx where I've drawn the double yellow lines.
We had my 16 year old son at the ready, and you can see what seats we were able to get.
Also, just down Stribling Walk, on either side, is where you get to meet your Mid after the ceremony. Bring a blanket and Shout wipes (they
must stay clean) plus cold water and snacks for all.
