Wow, small world. I also just picked up a creampuff 996 and have an e28 M5. The 996 is my first water cooled Porsche and I too, am really impressed with it.
So far, all I've done is a 3 spoke sport wheel, short shifter and different wheels.
Any pics of your M5?
I bought the M030 ROW suspension kit that will hopfully go on over 4th of July weekend.
