but..i was in phoenix pumping gas when the guy next to me started fist pumping the air and telling his wife.."we just got 31 mpg!" she was clearly not as impressed as he was. i took a look and it was a new duramax canyon. it was not labeled a ZR2 but it was damn fine looking. big tires, jet black all around..as if Darth Vader specd out his midsized dream truck. i had just come out of the desert and some quick math told me i just scored a whopping 17 mpg.. the guy let me sit in his truck. his wife was nice..it is a great truck. nice interior. made me feel like mine was a work truck for the entire drive to CA.
i definitely put a mental placeholder for that truck into my mind. it's been tough to shake.
i think diesel is about to get expensive her in CA soon tho. it is what it is.
i'm gonna hug my 06 and change the oil today. that thing is unstoppable.
