Azzy, the triangle of death is super simple and dirt cheap to do with the engine out. Check out the technical pages and you will see a few bucks of gaskets and 15 minutes will save you a lot of cussing and oil mess in the future. And to not adjust the valves with the engine out is almost criminal. Unless they were adjusted within a few hundred miles ago. The vacuum hoses should at least be checked closely as well as the fuel hoses.
