Surprised at Amazon
Bought 6 things yesterday, 5 unique shipments, all on one card. This card I had just gotten a new version of, same number, different exp. date and placed the order too quickly before realizing I needed to change the date.
Of the 5, 1 declined instantly. I clicked on the link, went through the process, changed the date, and all was good for the first one. All the rest of the orders seemed fine. Next one declined an hour later which I thought was odd because the card info was now correct. Had to click through a few hoops to use that card again and it was fine.
What was annoying is the rest of the orders all seemed fine on the orders screen showing "Track package". You couldn't update those. The last 2 orders just declined now because, apparently, the old data was captured and used and no business logic was put in place to see if it had been updated based on other orders. And no email saying, hey, we see that you bought all this stuff with the same card and the first order was declined, do you want to update payment info for all of the rest of them? or any kind of business logic that recognized all other orders would be declined from the old card data and that the new card data should be applied.
yeah, this is a stupid rant but now I can't put an entire new front bumper on the Tacoma this weekend.
I've got to say, buying an old but relatively decent condition car these days and then putting new key elements on it makes it close to a brand new car. 2001 Tacoma looks great as is but with new bumpers, headlights and directionals, it will look like a 2015 for about $500.
