I've read somewhere it costs ISPs about 1/10th of 1 cent to transmit about 10GB of data.
(=1/1,000th of a penny for the average month's data transmission)

Everything else is corporate profit gravy and paying off business/political shakedowns.

Final cost is $10/1GB to the consumer.
I suck at math.
