The Schweizer was added in April, but the seller screwed me on some of the details and as a result I have a few repairs that I am chasing right now before it starts working.

Thanks for sharing... boring? Never boring flying around at low altitudes in drizzle. Were you doing utility line inspections? PJ, a local company now does that for PG&E( Pacific Gas & Extortion) here in CA. They got the latest contract.
The pilot on the last contract was a really great and genuine stand up guy. He was emotionally devastated when got the call to pack his trash and get out. An old Vietnam helo driver who was trying to hit the logged 50,000 flight hours milestone before he retires completely from flying. He would be the type to be flying to his last day on earth. Always upbeat and happy and a hard charger. His 8 hour day would yield 12 hours of hard work. Slacker was not a word in his vocabulary.
I figured both helos were the working steeds in yur stable. Had a retired supervisor who owned a Schweitzer for his initial flight training at Paso Robles. Sold it when he was done. A handful of years later, the bird was in a hover and the rotor mast let go. It went up while the fuselage dropped to the ground.
