I recently went through the same dilemma. I ended up getting a set of cup 2 wheels. They're very similar to the cup 1 but much more available (and cheaper) since they were oem on most 993. For tires I chose to go with 215/45/17 front and 255/40/17 rear, but I've been told that going to 225/45 in the front will really help with understear in the c4. Just note that you'll need to add 5mm spacers to avoid rubbing at full lock.
