I'm one of the moderators for our developments facebook classifieds page.
All those types of pages run on the same basic principal.
You post a WTB or for sale ad.
First one to respond with interest is first in line.
All subsequent interested parties are next in line based on the order of posting. The most common expression of interest for anyone other than the first is "next".
All interested parties, responders, are given at least 12 hours to engage the OP and arrange for the transaction because life.
If interested party does not respond the OP can move onto the next.
It's fair and prevents people turning it into ebay.
Common courtesy.
The guy who bought the part was able to because Unclebilly put out the feeler. Unclebilly created the opportunity and the buyer cut the line.
Dick move.
