It has a great method of adding additional fire without opening the lid, and overall good temp control. Not a good as a pellet grill where you can set the temp and forget about it, but a pellet grill can't be used for searing.
I grill year round and unfortunately burned up two Hasty Bakes (each lasted about ten years), and thought I'd just get a charcoal Weber for searing. I've now decided that I'm going back to another Hasty Bake.

Only TEN YEARS...why that is a piece of cheap junk...probably made in CHINA!!!!
I have had my Weber Kettle since the beginning of 82, the BGE since the summer of 04 and the Klose Pipe Smoker since Oct of 05.... The Kettle was 39.95 at Builders Emporium on sale. They came out of the Ralphs grocery store chain on some kind of close out deal. The BGE BBQ Galore for 695 plus 40 for the cast iron smoke regulator on top and custom ordered from Klose for 2K with shipping.
