Sure PorchAG is the premier marque of the elite, but didn't it arise from initially being the premier marque of the poor?
(i.e: VW/KDF/peoples car/garage startup/rags to riches/etc)
Could be wrong but I remember reading about Porsche's lower cost model-offerings having saved the company bacon more than once
(i.e.: 914/924/944/Cayenne).
So more public accessibility, leads to more sales, leads to exposure, leads to more interest, leads to continuation of the marque?
