Yea, there are usually a dozen or more people driving rentals. I am sure you saw the list of tours for this year. I have no idea where they will go but there are some fun roads in parts of MO. At the Michigan parade the trip to Mackinac Island was the highlight. The drive up to the ferry was nice and the trip over to the island was a typical boat ride. Mackinac Island has no automobiles. Everything is powered by horses, bikes or walking. The Grand Hotel is aptly named and the best buffet on the planet bar none.

The trip in Savanna that was cool was to an old Antebellum mansion and a nice lunch. There is always lunch break. At the French Lick parade we went up to see the track in Indianapolis. We ate a German restaurant in downtown and then got to drive on the track for several laps, then tour the museum.

I don't even bother trying to compete in the events. No way in hell am I going to enter my 911 in the Concours. I drive my car and keep it really nice, but it will never be a concours car. The Rally is for people with a different mindset than I have. I like a nice drive but following sill directions at a set speed is just not my thing. The Autocross is something I would do, but the way they set it up, it kills an entire day. And they make it real hard to plan a drive when they don't publish a set time for the class I run in to compete. It means my wife has to sit out a day. Now I just skip that and we take another tour drive. Nice and laid back and relaxing.

In Salt Lake City, we went to the mountains. It was amazing to be in downtown SLC at 100 degrees, and in the mountains in 45 minutes and cold.

Last year in Jay Peak we drove up to Canada and stopped at a Apple Cider place and then ate at a local French restaurant. They had some nice drives.
