The thought is that Kimi's seat is the one that will start the dominoes falling. Unless he moves or is moved out, everything is supposedly set for next year.

Really don't see Fernando going to Mercedes unless Hammy leaves since they had issues when together at McLaren.

I've also heard that him going back to Ferrari is a non-starter due to the departure a few years ago.

I would love to see him in a Williams, if it was competitive again.

I really don't see him going to Indy car. Take last weekend for example: would you rather drive in Austria or the Iowa Corn 300? Hardly 50% of the stands were filled at the Indy car race. Leaving F1 means giving up places like Spa in exchange for what? Long Beach? The Grand Prix of Alabama? I guess if you trade in your Richard Mille for a Timex then maybe but it seems to much of a trade off both in competition as well as locations and amenities. Proper pit garages and pit walls vice pop up tents. Team busses that convert into luxury restaurants and lounges vice Winnebagos.

To me it is like trading in Major League Baseball for single A or the NFL for the Arena league.

Can I see Kvyat going to Indy or less? YES if he is lucky enough to keep a seat at all.

I think what Mark Weber did was the way to go. WEC then quietly retire after a Le Mans win.
