Good chatting and testing remotely with you Paul.
Now you have the grey/black from fuse 4 running through the body harness to the 6 pin connector isolated as the problem wire that is shorting to ground.
Dig in and look for abrasion points or pinch points at both the front and rear fuse panels on that wire.
