You just aren't getting into the conspiracy mindset.

Any real evidence somehow disappears, Men in Black style. Or is discredited.

There is an underground base on the dark side of the moon with a little over 1000 inhabitants. There is also an underground base on Mars with just over 30,000 inhabitants. And they do not have the limits of travel that we now have. A trip to Mars only takes a few minutes. And those bases include earth born people as well.

And don't pay any attention to the reports being contradictory. That is part of the misinformation coverup thing.
