Overall, electricity is cheap. At least around here.
We have the Koi pond with a pump that runs 24/7 and the 75 gallon fresh water fish tank in the house always running. The AC system sucks some juice as well as the lights, TVs, stereos and gizmos.
I have the watt meter and figured my garage AC costs me about $7 to run all day. It only runs if I am out there working. Zero doubt I think it is worth it. To come in after a day of tinkering and not be exhausted from heat is worth every penny.
