Well, we had been leaning towards Miele however we might be swayed a bit to Bosch. The few sites I could visit seemed to say the Miele had better reliability overall, Bosch a better repair network.

We are on septic (installed a hybrid system) so we will not use detergents with bleach in the machine. As such a plastic interior will work just as well as a stainless though it will not last/wear as well overall.

We are not brand loyal (Bosch and LG washers, LG dryer, Kenmore stove) but tend to shop scratch and dent and closed out models if they had good reviews overall. Next is to replace the temporary fridge we borrowed. Wife likes a specific LG model, we will see. That is a few months off.
