meat, milk, cream, cheese, butter, eggs, fish, etc... assuming he's going "Vegan". Vegan's normally ditch anything that has anything to do with animals. I've heard that honey (bees) and even sugar (filtered through bone ash or something like that) are off limits for the hard core vegans.
I think I could pretty easily do vegan (eat, not necessarily cook). I've had some amazing vegetarian Indian and Chinese food. As long as the flavor and umami are there, I'm good.
