I just replaced all my appliances. I went with Kitchenaid because I wanted everything to match. However, I did buy the higher-end dishwasher which was $1200. So far so good and I was definately happy with my old Kitchenaid which was about 30 years old.
This dishwasher is so quiet you would not think it's on. It also has a much longer cycle than my old dishwasher. 2.25 hours for normal and 3.25 hours for heavy duty.
