Ours does pretty well with the things that the rinse aid can wet and let gravity get most of the water off. The residual heat from the hot water rinse does the rest. Some of our plastic items apparently don't get wetted by the rinse aid - so the towel on the countertop does the drying. Then again, we're in the high desert with humidity rarely >30%.
Small price I think. It's been a good machine for six years. Another three or so and I'll happily replace it with the same. However, if it craps the bed tomorrow I may change my opinion...
