My place is worse.

It's splatter textured! Even the dang garage. With my particular skill set fixen holes, etc. is not in the realm of possible DIY solutions. Really don't want to do what my SIL did. Before they moved into their house, she sanded all the texture smooth. Took her a couple a weeks of a plaster dust mess.

And all my ceilings have that blow on texture stuff on em too. I kinda like it despite them saying it ain't popular not more. Notice on those DIY shows when they de-texture a ceiling the room echos much louder.
