Oh goodness. The company has hired people into the IT department that have no idea what they are doing. On our AS400 the guy that was the VP of communications that has been there as long as I have and was our AS400 guru. He retired last month. We have already had the AS400 lock up twice this month. That never happened before.
Also they hired a server manager. He went thru this week and moved a bunch of utility accounts around in Active Directory. Most of the utility accounts are for apps on servers to be able to authenticate users. Whomever setup those apps for lookup used the conanical name for the utility account sign in. The conanical name includes the Active Directory path as part of the name. That means moving them around broke the authentication process! Nobody could login to do anything.
