Yeah, I read that and that might be the case. This chicken was our oldest (and the one the kids were most attached to, unfortunately) and we recently introduced 6 chicks (that were about 8-9 weeks old) to the run/coop. These chicks seemed to stress her out (even 4-5 weeks later), but other than establishing a pecking order, she seemed to be fine. Kept laying regularly, etc.
No sign of predator issues, etc. She died in the coop with no signs of struggle, etc. It breaks my heart to think that we may have contributed to her death, but if I had to do it over again, we'd have done the same thing.
