Do most people who get tattoos have even a shred of aesthetic or artistic sense in them? I can see that this lady obviously loves her dog, but she'll most likely outlive 'The Peanut' and if she's a real dog person, she'll probably have several more dogs during her lifetime. Will she get a similar tattoo for each of them? I would've definitely run out of skin had I got inked with the image of every dog I ever had. Instead, why not simply have a portrait done of your pet and hang it on the wall? Why a tattoo?
And that other masterpiece...
"Give Me Coffee or Give Me Death". Really? How trite and ridiculous is that? Yes, I know...I'm being judgmental here, so all of you noble beings who never ever judge anyone needn't chime in about it.
Every once in a while I do see a tattoo that's well done and quite stylish, but the vast majority (99.8%) of the work I see has absolutely no artistic merit at all and reflects quite poorly on those displaying it.

Yes, I get that...but only a very few people seem able to pull it off in an aesthetically pleasing way. Besides, having tattoos these days is hardly a demonstration of one's individually...it's more like just following the herd.
I might decide to be different too...maybe by walking around with a toilet seat around my neck, or a bird's nest on my head. But I would venture to guess that most who see me would probably feel that I look completely ridiculous instead of thinking,
"Wow, that guy's a real individual". This is exactly what I thought when I recently saw a guy with a much-larger-than-life common housefly inked on his forearm walking next to a woman with a pair of semi-auto handguns tattooed on the backs of her legs. Just ridiculous...
Many of us do things to enhance our particular look or style...we dress a certain way, we have a certain type of haircut, women do their makeup to highlight certain features. Nothing wrong with this at all, but I feel that people who think that these mega-tattoos make them look more attractive in some way are really missing the boat. Some day, this practice will go the way of bell bottoms & paisley shirts and they'll be an awful lot of folks saying to themselves,
"WTF was I thinking?".
