When was the last time you saw it? Not sure if my friend has anything to do w it but I saw it a couple months ago and they've cleaned it up and put a little fence around it to keep the graffiti and other crap off it. Still probably the least impressive grave marker in Pere Lachaise, (cemetaries in Paris are amazing). June 2017:

It's been a number of years. Good to see someone has cleaned it up. Back then it was littered with "offerings" of wine bottles and cigarettes. Very depressing. Pere Lachaise is fascinating. Unbelievable amount of history there. My fathers family lived in Paris, Normandy and Cannes beginning in the late 1800's and up until the Nazi's marched in. My dad was born in Dinard. I've got some fascinating photos of WW1 that I'm in the process of scanning and compiling into a book.
