One of the cool things about the Star Trek series Enterprise is it was a prequel to Capt. Kirk but it was done in the era of decent computer generated graphics. I understand every writer wants to put their spin or touch on the story. But why not just start with a different species. Why change the Klingons? Just invent a new species. Make them anything you want.
All of the original shows have been re-mastered into high definition from the original film stock. Some of the props are just silly how bad they are. On a 1960s era broadcast TV they looked fine. In HD you can tell it is a piece of junk. The swords or weapons they use look look something a high school stage performance made.
You have to watch the original series with an eye towards the story and ignore the crummy props. It is just a TV show.
