i asked the same question...

ssi's are better for me because my motor is stock.

"Headers work better than a cat bypass on the 2.7L engine. I assume the thermol reactors are long gone. Keep the primary size 1.5" optimally. Our headers are designed for larger displacement engines or highly modified 2.7-3.0L engines so would not work as well for you as something like SSI.
