Garage
Welcome to my world of working from home.

Well morning spent at the mechanic. Took it back for plugs. Was told it was missing on number one cylinder, but all the plugs were shot with almost no electrode. They were cheap NGK plugs. Told them driving it home and back it was missing worse than it had. They had a known good coil so they moved it around and found #3 coil was causing the problems. Said they were surprised because the coils looked good and the new spark plug on #1 helped so much.

Evidently check engine light means plugs AND coils. Said they couldn't get coils in until this afternoon. That it was the same get to the the coils as the plugs so would replace them both Monday and save me the extra labor of doing them Separately. Sent me on my way with their known good coil and all the old plugs.

Driving back home this morning it ran better than it has in a couple of months.

While at the garage met couple Porsche guys that were de-mothballing their 928s since the prices are going up. And a couple of guys looking for project cars for the same reason. Shop said there have been a lot of people doing that lately that in fact all the "fixer upper" cars they knew about have been snatched up.
