I'm going on 4 months of tennis elbow from a golf injury. I knew something bad happened right away. Next time, I'm going to tell caddie to STFU and hit a 9 iron.
Just when I think I'm in the clear to use it normally, I'm back to stage one. I now wear a compression sleeve, and avoid any use of the elbow if I can. Anything more than a couple lbs. will cause pain.
As others have mentioned, exercise, compression, ice, and rest is best. Then don't trust it when you think everything is fine.
