The fix worked. Car is driving fine with the new drive axle, except of course for all the other niggling details that need fixing. Oil pressure is fluctuating with RPM's when she warms up now...
Today I did get rid of a patch of faded paint with a wax/buffer I picked up at a local hardware store called "Formula 1". Anybody used it before? It worked great for me, but I've never heard of it. I used their lightest scratch out liquid. I wish I had before pics...
