I feel your pain.
Growing up we had a small mixed farm next to a triangle intersection with bridges on two of the approaches and our barn in the middle.
Over the years we lost track of the number of cars and trucks which left the road and either took out fence or dropped over the bank or took out a bridge.
The funny thing was we had the local telephone exchange in our house and a few times when some inebriated a-hole landed in our barn yard. they would stagger back across the bridge to the local garage, use the pay phone to call for a tow truck and claim they had just had a breakdown.
My Dad would have pulled them out with the tractor and just fixed the fence if they had 'fessed up, but if they wanted to stand around for an hour and wait for the tow truck to come from the nearest town, it was up to them.
After he retired, the barn was torn down. Eventually someone put a car off the road, through a guard rail and landed up side down in the river. Then the Dept of Transport re-lined the roads to eliminate the triangle and put in a stop sign.
In your case, I think I would plant a hawthorn hedge and forget the fence.
